Client Quick Start

Create an account, choose a plan, import your subscription, then check your exit location. Follow the steps below, or jump to the relevant section if you already have an account or have paid.

Create an Account

Select “Start Free” to open the 1KVPN dashboard, then set a username and password on the account creation page. No email address is required; follow the on-screen instructions. You’ll use your username to sign in later. Choose a unique password and store it in a trusted password manager. Don’t share your account details and subscription link together.

Once you’re done, open the dashboard and check that your account details are visible. If you’re still on the login page, sign in with the username and password you just set; there’s no need to create another account. If you already have an account, sign in to it. Keep your orders, plan, and subscription under the same account.

Keep “signing in to your account” separate from “connecting to the internet.” Signing in only gives you access to the dashboard; you still need to configure a client. Next, choose a plan. Once the dashboard shows its status, get the subscription to use in your client.

Choose a Plan and complete your order

Open the plans section in your dashboard and decide whether you’ll connect regularly or only occasionally. Monthly subscriptions suit regular use: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, or ¥28/month for 500GB. Monthly data resets each month on the date you activated the plan, not on the first day of the calendar month. Check your account for the current cycle and remaining data.

If your usage is irregular, compare the data packages: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. Data lasts until used and never expires. The main difference from a monthly subscription is how the data is used; a data package does not renew with the same allowance each month. If you’re unsure how much you need, check the full details on the plans page before choosing in your dashboard.

Check the plan name, price, and data allowance, create the order as prompted in the dashboard, then pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. Keep the order page open during payment. When payment is complete, return to the dashboard to check your order and plan status. If the status is still pending, refresh or check the order first; don’t pay again just because the page hasn’t updated yet.

1KVPN supports unlimited devices and offers a 7-day money-back guarantee. If you upgrade a monthly subscription partway through its term, the price difference is converted into remaining days; don’t estimate it as a full month. Once your plan is active, continue to the next step. For payment or status issues, submit the relevant order details through the dashboard’s support ticket area. Don’t share your password or full subscription link.

Get your Subscription from the dashboard

Once your plan status is confirmed, open the account overview in your dashboard and find the subscription section. A subscription isn’t a webpage address for a particular server; it’s what your client uses to load the configuration. Importing it lets the client show available locations and servers. Don’t copy the browser address of a marketing page, order page, or account overview into your client.

If the dashboard offers one-click import for your installed client, use it first. When your browser asks whether to open the client, check that it’s the right app and continue. Finish adding or saving the subscription in the client. If the app doesn’t open, make sure the client is installed and has been opened at least once, or copy the subscription link and import it manually.

To import manually, use the copy option in the dashboard and copy the entire link. Don’t copy just part of it or add spaces, notes, or punctuation to the end. In your client’s subscription manager, choose “Import from URL” or a similar option and paste the link. The example below is only to show what a link looks like; it won’t connect:

https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN

Your subscription link provides access to your account. Don’t post it in chat groups, forums, or public screenshots. Copy it directly from the dashboard into your client, and avoid unfamiliar online conversion tools. Before sharing a screenshot for support, hide the full link and all its parameters. If you need more help, describe the error and where it occurred.

Import a client on each Platform

Select your operating system in the client section of the dashboard; don’t look for an installer on this page. Sign in to get a client for Windows, macOS, Android, or Linux. Sign in to get your subscription. For iOS, follow the eligibility instructions shown in the dashboard. After installation, open the app, then return to the dashboard and try one-click import. This usually makes switching between apps easier.

Windows: Add a subscription or configuration

Use the Windows subscription client provided in the dashboard. When you first open it, go to “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or a similar management section and look for an option to add a configuration or import from a URL. Paste the full link copied from the dashboard. You can give the configuration a recognizable name, such as “1KVPN,” then save it and update or download the configuration.

After the update, you should see a list of locations or servers. Select the configuration you just imported, then open the server list. If you only saved the link without activating the configuration, the old list may still appear. Before connecting, check the client’s system proxy or network routing settings and enable the option it recommends. Don’t run multiple network clients with the same function at the same time.

macOS: Save the configuration, then connect

Use the macOS subscription client provided in the dashboard. If one-click import opens the app, check the configuration source in the app and save it. To import manually, open configuration management, choose the option to add from a link, paste the subscription, and update it. If the app asks for network permissions, confirm the prompt comes from the client you just installed, then follow the system instructions.

Once the location list appears, set the new configuration as active. Closing the configuration editor usually doesn’t connect you; return to the app’s main screen and turn on the connection. The menu bar icon or in-app status can show whether it’s enabled, but check the exit location and try the service you need to confirm it’s working.

Android: Import from a link and approve system access

Use the Android subscription client provided in the dashboard. Install and open the app first, then select one-click import in the dashboard. When the app receives the configuration, check its name and save it. If the browser doesn’t switch to the app, copy the subscription and tap Add on the client’s configuration or subscription screen. Choose import from a link rather than entering individual server settings manually.

After updating the configuration, choose your preferred location and connect. Android may ask for permission to establish a VPN connection; confirm the app’s source before continuing. If the client says the connection has stopped, check its message, then see whether Android is restricting it in the background. Don’t keep deleting the subscription. First check whether the issue occurred while updating the configuration or starting the connection.

iOS: Get the client and add your subscription through the dashboard

Open the iOS client section in the dashboard and follow the eligibility requirements and instructions shown there. Once you have the client, return to the dashboard and use its matching import option. To import manually, look for subscription, configuration management, or Add from URL in the client, then paste the full subscription link and save it.

After importing, update the configuration and check that the server list appears. Choose a location and connect. If iOS asks to add a VPN configuration, check the app and follow the prompt to allow it. Installing the app, adding a subscription, and connecting are separate steps; completing one doesn’t mean the others are done. Check each one in order.

Linux users can also get the appropriate client from the dashboard and follow its instructions for importing a configuration. You can import the subscription on each device that shares the same account. Unlimited devices doesn’t mean every device has to use the same location, or that data is allocated separately to each device. Connect and Verify

Choose a server in your preferred location in the client, then connect. For streaming, pick a location that suits the content you want to watch. When using AI tools or work services, check the location and account requirements of the service itself. Server type can help guide your choice, but its name alone can’t predict how every app will perform. Open the service to test it.

After connecting, open the site’s IP lookup tool to check whether your browser’s current exit location matches your expectations. In rule-based mode, different websites may use different routes, so an IP lookup is only one part of the check; it doesn’t mean every app uses the same server. If the lookup fails, don’t assume the client is at fault—check the app’s messages as well.

Next, open the website or app you actually want to use. For Netflix, check that the page loads and try playing something. For AI tools, check that the page loads and a real request completes. The service may have its own account, subscription, content licensing, or location requirements. A working network connection doesn’t grant access to those services.

If it isn’t working, first check that the client is using the configuration you imported, the subscription updated successfully, a server is selected, and the system connection is on. If the list is empty, check the subscription import first. If the list is fine but the connection fails, try another server in the same location. If the browser and other apps behave differently, check the client’s proxy mode and app routing rules. Change one thing at a time and note the results.

If you still can’t identify the issue, note your platform, the error shown in the client, the location you selected, and whether the problem occurred during a subscription update or after connecting. Then look for the relevant category in the Help Center. For further assistance, open a support ticket in your dashboard and describe what happened. Hide account access details in screenshots. Once your connection is verified, everyday use only requires opening the client, choosing a server, and connecting—you don’t need to import the subscription again each time.
